I was doing some more clean up of my screenshot folder (it's a big folder!) and I came across a whole folder of pics that I sort of forgot existed. Some of it went into the Gen 2 stories, but most of these are pretty much Gabriel, Jasmine and Cecilia in their very early years, never before seen in this blog. So I thought for those that like this kind of stuff, it'd be neat to share. :)

There's no big story here and none of this is integral to the plotline of Gen 3. At this point, I don't even think I had worked out what I was going to gen 3 yet. I just thought it might be fun to post these. Please forgive the occasional plumbBob.

BTW, I was looking at my site stats last night and was pleasantly surprised to see that my hosting comes with unlimited bandwidth. So that's why I'll be posting 600x450 size pics from now on. I don't know if this will make a huge difference to the aesthetic of the story, or if it will take that much longer to download. But let me know if the larger pics are an issue.

I like to call my game "maxis-match" even though it really isn't. It's sort of like a hybrid maxis-cartoony-realistic game, LOL. I don't know what else to call it, but I like it.   I think Nett's Eyeball edits really work for my sims and my story, but I got a little bored and wanted to play around with making my characters just a little more cartoony. So I  changed up their looks a bit tonight.

I switched up the eye colours with the Easy/Lucky/Free   eyes that used to be my old defaults. I also gave them nose masks and  Maxis-match eyebrows by Aquilegia. I'm kinda liking the results. :)

What are YOUR Sims2/Sims3 related goals/plans/ideas for 2010?

To be completely honest, the Sims aren't high on my priority for things to do in 2010. In fact, one of my resolutions is to concentrate more on other hobbies like reading, drawing and learning how to play guitar. ;) However, there are some things I wouldn't mind accomplishing for my game.

Well, that's us already an hour (almost) into 2010! Soon, I'll be wishing you all a happy new year for 2011 ;)

But seriously, where the hell has this year gone? :| Honestly, bringing in 2009 only felt like a year ago or something. It's hard to believe that 2010 is here already! This also marks ten years from the millenium, which was a pretty momentus occassion, so I guess that makes this new year kinda special too.

Man, I remember the millenium...I feel so old. :(

I was going through my humungous screenshot folder late last night and somehow everything got disordered. This bugged me, so I took a bit of time to actually do a little bit of organization. In doing so, I got a little caught up going through older pics from earlier this year.



I remember spamming these guys whenever I could on S2C. I seriously loved them, and they're still around in my hood. I've been meaning to attempt Kestrel's 50 Dream Date LTW for the longest time (yeah right, lol!). But I got a little nostalgiac and went back a bit to reread my earlier "work". The little story I did with the spares was probably the first time that I took sim storytelling a little more seriously and it just wasn't about organizing screenshots from me actually playing the game to make it fit into something cohesive.

So heck yeah, I'm going to repost it here. Allow me my end of year nostalgia.

(Note about chronology: This arc makes it seem that Willow is significantly older than Gabe. In my game, they were born just about the same time so they are the same age, but for some reason, I placed Gabe's birth later on in the actual story. At this point I hadn't thought of making Gen 3 an actual story though. )

I still have no idea wtf Boxing Day is for except for all the supposedly shopping discounts we all get up here.

However, I'm bored and a little sleepy. I spent Christmas Eve/morning a little toasted and playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band until about 4 in the morning. The rest of the day I spent in my PJs playing Sims. It was awesome.

I took a few screens for chapter 21 and I had a lot of fun with it. It sucks because there's some screens I want to share and stuff I want to talk about but I don't want to spoil anything for my readers. At the same time I'm so excited to get to those fun parts even though it may not happen for a few chapters or so. In the meantime, putting together each chapter is still pretty challenging for me. I think I should be okay to have a chapter up before New Year's Eve. :D

Today I put together a mix of songs on my iPod that inspires the story. Not sure how to share it with my readers but I'll probably post a list in another post later.

My Secret Santa from SWG made me this gorgeous banner which I'll be using for my signatures. I think it's really neat! I hope everyone had a great Holiday! ^_^
